Itinerary

Upon arrival at the airport (Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport), your personal driver-guide or our representative will meet you. From here, you will be driven to your accommodation in Arusha for an overnight stay, waiting for your adventures to start the following day.

In the morning, you will be collected from your lodging in Arusha by our personal safari guide. We set out for Tarangire National Park on a good tarmac road across gently rolling Maasai plains with scattered acacia trees. As we zip along, we pass many Maasai in their colorful dress walking on the roadside, riding bicycles, herding cattle and driving donkey’s carts.

Tarangire National Park, well known for its large elephant herds, is also host to a multitude of other creatures. From the open roof of our state-of-the-art safari Jeep, we experience the seasonal swamps, savannah and life-giving Tarangire River. We endeavor to encounter a multitude of creatures, from zebra to wildebeest, buffalo, elephant, and giraffe, to name a few. It is possible we will glimpse lions stalking prey or watch leopards, relaxing in the trees above.

You will drive to one of our carefully selected luxury partner lodges for dinner in a tasteful restaurant and a pool at hand to soothe us.

After breakfast, you will drive to Serengeti National Park. This drive will take you through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area so you can view the Ngorongoro Crater on the way. This drive will take around six hours depending on the game on the way because sometimes there is a high concentration of game on the southern plains. You may have a chance to stop at the Ndutu area, depending on the time. You will stop for a picnic lunch on the way, then proceed to your lodge with a game drive en route, arriving in the evening.

Full day wildlife drive in the Serengeti national park with picnic lunch. Diner and overnight at Sanctuary Kusini / Ndutu Safari Lodge.
But there is more to Serengeti than large mammals. A full 100 varieties of dung beetle have been recorded, as have more than four-hundred bird species, ranging from the outsizes ostrich and bizarre secretary bird of the open grassland to the black eagles that soar effortlessly above the Serengeti plains area.

After breakfast, drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area with a game viewing drive en route in the Serengeti National Park. A packed lunch will be served at a picnic site. The Serengeti National Park is where safari-goers come to truly experience an African safari. The park is featured on many National Geographic shows, the park is rich with wildlife, endless plains, sunrises and sunsets that make the heart go wild. The park is known for its huge wildlife population. White-bearded wildebeest, zebras and gazelle migrate annually during the great migration from the plains of the Serengeti in Tanzania to the grasslands of the Maasai Mara in Kenya in search of fresh grass. It is also home to big cats, lions, cheetahs and leopards. You will arrive at your accommodation late in the afternoon for dinner and your overnight stay.
After an early breakfast, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a game-viewing drive. The jewel in Ngorongoro’s crown is a deep, volcanic crater, the largest unflooded and unbroken caldera in the world and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the 8th wonders of the world. The Ngorongoro Crater is one of Africa’s most famous sites and is said to have the highest density of wildlife in Africa. The crater has achieved world renown status, attracting an ever-increasing number of visitors each year. You are unlikely to escape other vehicles here, but you are guaranteed great wildlife viewing in a genuinely mind-blowing environment. There is nowhere else in Africa quite like Ngorongoro where one is guaranteed to see the endangered black rhinos, large prides of lions, herds of wildebeests, zebras as well as elephants, buffalos and hippos! Late in the afternoon, continue with a short drive to your lodge for dinner and your overnight

Today, we leave at 7:30am and drive to the Kilimanjaro region. We pass through Kishumundu villages and reach the highlands of Materuni village. There, we hike for about 45 minutes to see a beautiful waterfall. After that, we learn about making coffee and enjoy some local food.

Then, we head to Chemka Hot Springs. You can relax in the warm water and even swim with doctor fish, which gives a free pedicure! Finally, we drop you off at the airport.

After a breakfast we will pick you from your hotel and drop you at the Airport.
